What I love about air fryer green beans

These roasted green beans are so simple and tasty! I have always love green beans, even though I was never really a fan of most vegetables growing up. When we would have them, I would dip them in A1 sauce if I could and to be honest I still would. They are a great staple veggie to keep on hand because you can pair them with so many things or even throw them into a soup. Yum.

How to make air fryer green beans

For this recipe, I used fresh untrimmed green beans. You want to trim off the ends that have a stem or cut both ends off, I prefer to leave the other side intact because I love how crispy the tips of the beans get in the air fryer. You can get pre-trimmed green beans at a lot of grocery stores now, so I’d say thats the way to go if you want to save time some extra time though!

Preheat your air fryer at this point to 375˚F. After you have the green beans cleaned and trimmed, you will toss them in a bowl with olive oil, garlic and onion powder, and salt and pepper. You just want to make sure your green beans are coated evenly with the oil and spices.

When the air fryer is at temperature add the green beans and roast for 4 minutes. I took the basket out after 4 minutes and sort of toss flipped the beans to make sure the cook evenly. You want to place the basket back in the air fryer and continue to roast for about 4 more minutes. Sprinkle with chopped dried onions for added texture, crunch, and flavor!

Tips on making green beans in the air fryer

What parts of the green beans been to be trimmed off?

You really only have to trim off the end that has the stem attached. A lot of people will trim both ends, it really is a matter of preference.

How do you clean green beans?

All you need to do for this is run them under cool water. If you use too hot of water you could change the texture of the green bean.

Can you eat the whole green bean?

Yes you can eat all of the green bean, though I would remove the stem. They are totally safe even to eat raw.
