Carolina BBQ

  • 1 ⅓ cups yellow mustard
  • ⅔ cup whole grain mustard
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • ½ cup + 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp flour

  1. Measure vinegar in a measuring jigger and whisk flour into vinegar.
  2. Mix remaining ingredients into a large saucepan.
  3. Whisk in vinegar and flour until all ingredients are well combined.
  4. Cook on medium heat for 15 – 20 minutes or until sauce thickens.
  5. Pour into a small pitcher or mason jar.

If you like a little more spice, then feel free to add more hot sauce. I used Frank’s Red Hot, but did not want to make this too spicy so the whole family could enjoy it.
