German Meatloaf

This german meatloaf, made with beef and pork, seasoned with dijon and paprika is a delightful deviation from the traditional American ketchup based recipes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • ½ sweet onion chopped
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • ½ tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • ½ tbsp parsley
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375˚F.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Do not over mix.
  3. Press mixture into a greased loaf pan.
  4. Bake at 375˚F for 60 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160˚F.
  5. Allow to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
