Southern Fried Potatoes

Southern fried potatoes make the most versatile side dish ever. These crispy potatoes are fried to buttery, golden perfection in 10 minutes!


  • 1 ½ lbs baby potatoes, halved
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • chopped fresh parsley for garnish



  1. Soak potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes, optional. 
  2. Pat potatoes dry.
  3. Toss with oil, salt, pepper and paprika.
  4. In a large skillet, melt butter medium heat.
  5. Add garlic, sauté until fragrant.
  6. Stir in potatoes. Cook until golden and crispy, about 10 minutes. Potatoes should be tender when pierced with a fork.
