How to make fried spam and eggs

Open the can. Slice the spam into quarter inch this slices (or thinner if you prefer).

Fry the Spam. In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, allow the spam slices to fry for about 5 minutes on each side or until a golden crust starts to form.

Fry the egg. In the same skillet, cook eggs to your liking. You can feel free to scramble or fry your eggs.

Serve over rice and garnish with fresh chopped chives.

Rice is commonly served with breakfast in Hawaii, but you can substitute potatoes, or your favorite breakfast sides.

Spam Eggs and Rice

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can Spam, sliced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 cups jasmine rice, cooked

  • 2 avocados, diced

  • 4 eggs

  • Fresh chives, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Open can of Spam and slice lengthwise to about ¼ of an inch.

  2. On medium heat, in a non-stick skillet fry Spam slices for about 2 ½ – 3 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Remove from skillet.

  3. Reduce heat to medium low to fry eggs for sunny side up. 

  4. Serve spam and eggs over rice. Garnish with chives.
